What YOU can do

Americans want health care reform NOW, and will elect representatives who deliver it.  Attention Presidential candidates: Make up your mind who you work for. Do you serve the best interests of the American people? Or are you a servant of the insurance and pharmaceutical industries.

Vote for Democratic Party

The private insurance industry is about profits, not patients. Don't allow our politicians to force us into more private, for profit plans!

Special Report:  "Solving Our Nation's Health Care Crisis" - September 1990

In 1990, Congressman Anthony Beilenson (D) mailed his constituents in California his Special Report: "Solving Our Nation's Health Care Crisis" (below).
Bush-41 was President and Congress did little more than direct government panels to study the health problem and make recommendations.

The situation is much worse now. Instead of America spending $600 billion on health care, we're now spending $1.3 TRILLION. We have more American's dying or going bankrupt, more uninsured, STRATOSPHERIC COSTS for insurance, prescription drugs and hospitals, and even our largest corporations that provide health insurance for their employees and retirees are in dire straights.

Where is the leadership and accountability of our lawmakers? We simply cannot let another 18 years go by.
