- MASSACHUSETTS (Boston) -
Mass-Health signed by Governor Romney. Great for Big Insurance, who spent $7.5 million to help get it passed. But this legislation is bad for patients. All residents must purchase health insurance OR face legal penalties. There is no reform to cap costs or to provide an adequate standard
of health care services. What happens if you can only afford a bare-bones policy, you get really sick and you aren't covered for treatment? It's plain stupid to sell medical insurance the
same way you do for cars.

Missouri. The study "A Universal Health Care Plan for Missouri" highlights a coverage plan that could be delivered in the state for less than the nearly $30 billion currently spent on
health care this year. The savings that would allow expansion to cover all residents of the state would be largely derived from lower administrative costs associated with a single payer. www.mffh.org/press_releases/pr-11-25-03.pdf The report, "A Universal Health Care Plan for Missouri":www.mffh.org/ShowMe3.pdf
